Purple times…. My friend and neighbor, Anne Tarbell, passed away a year ago this May. She lived 3 houses from me. This happened today: Miracle on Maple Ave?
I have been thinking of Anne and waiting for the splash of crocuses that always fill her lawn in Spring. She knew how I loved them. Her house is going to be demolished and for days I have been waiting for the crocuses so I could sneak over and dig some up before they are trampled. It has been freezing and yesterday my knee hurt too badly to dig. Today the big machinery appeared to begin destruction…but…there on my front lawn…right in the middle, for the first time in 44 years is a blooming crocus. Thank you dear Anne.
Kathleen, that’s one special crocus! A similar thing happened with an old neighbor of ours. We have some of her amaryllis bulbs that we rescued from her home. Each year they bloom, I remember Old Aunt Sarah.
The Easter Eggs arrivged yesterday and they are beautiful THank you Blessed Mid Lent, Im am ready for the Ressuraection. I had a dentist appoint yesterday first time I have been out anywhere and Was so Excited about the dentist go figure. Thanks Lads.
